Message to the pro-life community:

People are making too little out of embryo destruction. If we continue to focus on the facts that abortion by surgical procedure mutilates children and that abortion hurts women rather than emphasize the personhood and right to life of all unborn children, we will never win the fight against the killing of embryonic children.

Can we say that a woman had changed her mind about the morality of abortion if after having seen an image of a surgically aborted child, she chose to have a chemical abortion, or because she was too far along to have a chemical abortion she chose to give birth, but would be willing to chemically abort her next child in the early stage of her pregnancy?

Can we say that anyone who sees an image of the mutilated body of an aborted child will become pro-life and defend the right to life of all unborn children from the moment of conception?

Can we say that people will not reject the killing of embryonic children until they see an image of a destroyed embryo?

We must equally defend all unborn children from the moment of conception by emphasizing their personhood and right to life.

No matter how small, a person is a person. Let us unite in our defense of each and every one of us.

ALL
CHILDREN DESERVE BIRTH

The following comment was made by Bob Enyart to my ProLifeBlog.com post titled Embryo Destruction.

Fredi D'Alessio, your insight is absolutely correct. Long ago, Nat'l RTL decided to ignore the children killed by chemical weapons (Plan B, etc).

In contrast, note Principle 2 from the American Right To Life website: To promote the prohibition of abortion (Ex. 20:13; 21:22-23), infanticide, suicide, euthanasia (including by withholding of food and water, i.e., "artificial nourishment and hydration"), and abortifacients such as RU-486 or any chemical weapon, physical device or process that kills a living human person (including Plan B also called the Morning After Pill, or any birth control pill or intrauterine device that works to prevent implantation);

Fredi, you wrote: "People are making too little out of embryo destruction. This is so very true. I don't believe that means that we cannot use these other evidences of the evil of child killing. But they must always be put in perspective. To a pro-abort: "You violate God's enduring command, Do not murder, when you advocate killing the tiniest of embryonic human beings. That this photo of a late-term abortion victim doesn't move you to repent shows the hardness of your heart. And your apathy regarding the guilt and physical harm abortion brings to a woman who kills her child shows your deep rebellion against God."

Fredi: "Can we say that people will not reject the killing of embryonic children until they see an image of a destroyed embryo? We must equally defend all unborn children from the moment of conception by emphasizing his/her personhood and right to life."

Brilliant. Thank you Fredi. The ultimate argument against abortion is the God-given right to life from our Creator that comes not at birth but at our creation. There is no valid secular or scientific defense of the pro-life position because no law of science includes the words "right" or "wrong." And apart from God, humans would be only animals with indivivdual or group "preferences" but without the standard of absolute right and wrong that flows from our Creator's description of Himself.
